Despite the change in personality that had consumed the tiny blonde roughly a year beforehand, books were still a favorite past time of hers, and she enjoyed getting lost in the texts of the pages... Even more so when she was fucked up, which was all she had in mind as she pulled the small vial out of her breasts that was connected a chain that never left her neck. Popping the top, she glanced down at the white powder inside and wondered for a brief moment, 'Why do you do this to yourself, Sorcha? When will this torment end?'
But that was the old her speaking and crying out for her to stop destroying herself with drugs and a foul personality that made her family cringe. The girl now seated in the library with the tattered school uniform and makeup heavier than a ton of bricks was here to stay as far as she was concerned, so she dipped the nail of her tiniest finger into the vial and scooped up a bump of the cocaine. She had recently tried rubbing it on her gums to give her a numbing sensation that would drift into a slow, low-burning high, which while that would be more ideal for reading, it just wasn't enough in that moment as flashbacks to her mother's funeral began to appear before her eyes. It was a futile attempt for her humanity to win her back over - that small, innocent, and beautiful little girl calling out only for her words to fall on deaf ears - because all it did was make her crave the substance even more.
So, lifting her nail to her right nostril, she pushed against the left side of her nose to plug that nostril before inhaling quickly and sharply. Instantly, the powder was sifted through her sinus cavity where it could begin working and doing its job - almost instantly giving her a headrush that made her feel invincible. After all, how could one not feel invincible when dealing with a drug that made you numb to quite literally everything? So, now that she was set for her spirit to rocket to the skies, she picked up one of her favorite novels and kicked her feet up on the table - delving into the pages.
